Until he retires, or signs elsewhere, either of which could happen later this month, Mats Sundin remains the face of the franchise. How long that will continue is anyone's guess, but Sundin is a hot commodity on and off the ice.

McCabe, for all his faults, is a more accomplished player than Mike Van Ryn, and the fact the Leafs had to throw in a fourth-round pick and pay McCabe's $2 million bonus to get the Florida Panthers to do this deal is almost an insult.
