January 23rd, 2008 - Emergency Drill Down meeting initiated by MrBabyMan, Zaibatsu, msaleem, DigiDave. As Jay stated in Wired, he's correct this was not a revolt but a pre revolt expressing concern from all kinds of Digg users, not just top Diggers.

Guess what. Autobury exists. Despite questions being sidestepped by Jay Adelson (who answered a direct question about autobury by asking Why would we want to do that?), there is too much evidence to the contrary.

Kevin Rose started Digg specifically to give users the power to decide what's news. It must be a pain to see some of his top users quit the site and write an open letter charging him with "disregard for the Digg community," "lack of transparency..."
