First off, despite the award I've received on Mixx... I am NOT a curmudgeon! I've been told by the powers-that-be on Mixx that this is a small glitch, and should be fixed soon. That said... I'm a proud submitter of Mixx and Digg. I'm also a domestic servant/filmmaker wannabe.

The Ban Hammer falls again over at Digg again!

Crap - I lost over 20 of my friends during the first banning - I think I have at least 20 more. :-( This is truly upsetting. I'll have to be more active on Mixx - alot of my friend here are (were) friends on Digg. Anybody who (was) my friend on Digg and want to add me on - go right ahead!
Are these permabans?

Top 5 creative uses for dryer lint

We used drier lint for a pair of squirrels that would a nest in a hole in a large tree in our front yard every year. I would put the drier lint near the opening of the hole, and they would bring it inside.

Former Cop Found Guilty Of Murdering Pregnant Girlfriend

@DerivativeRe - that's an understatement. I watched most of the trial on TV. The guy (against his lawyer's advice), took the stand. Almost the entire time, he cried... crocodile tears - it was so fake it made me want to puke. When the prosecutor questioned him, he wasn't as bad with the fake-tears. They're talking the death penalty, even though they didn't convict him of First Degree murder.

WARNING: The videos are very graphic - the submission itself is not that of the video - it only provides a link to 2 separate videos.

OMG, it's Jesus!

@onreact.com - I'm sorry you feel that way. You are entitled to your opinion - I don't mind. I, for one, am a religious person and think it's hilarious. I find it ridiculous that people stretch their imagination to find Jesus and/or the Blessed Virgin Mary in trees, potato chips, toast, the sides of barns, and even a dusty and dirty car. People go out of their way, which I find absurd. My humor is off color, I know, but I do see the irony and the humor in this picture.
Like I said, I'm a religious person and don't mind this.

How To Write For The Web: My War With Digg.com

Funnily enough, I submitted this on Digg: http://digg.com/tech_news/Digg_s_Tamar_Weinberg_Joins_Mashable. It got buried after 40 digs. it doesn't even register on Axinomy Bury Recorder: http://www.ajaxonomy.com/buryrecorder/. It pisses me off, because I know it was an 'auto bury', like you mentioned, because it received zero buries. Alot of stuff submitted from Tamar's site: http://www.techipedia.com/, gets buried. Whether or not it's an 'auto bury', I don't know. The whole thing is weird.
While I haven't abandoned Digg, nor do I choose to do, I've been pissed off - it started with the change in the algorithm. It's also because of things disappearing mysteriously. Don't get me wrong... I do like Digg and have been rather successful. I just don't like seeing good people leave Digg, and have decent submissions never seeing the Front Page.
I sympathize with you. Really, I do.

One thing about blind voting and/or blind digging. I've noticed submissions that have been submitted on both sites, which means I have to read the submission twice. What's the point of opening up the submission, if you already know the content, or taking time to read the entire thing, for that matter? I've gone ahead and dug/voted on them. They're usually submitted by the same person.
