  1. Why do people see wierd things? Because they're freaking stupid, thats why.
    Also, our brains are tremendously well wired to recognize paterns, quite often where none exist. After all, its better to think you see a tiger about to pounce that isn't really there, than to miss it and become cat food.

  2. @BanMaster I agree. It's one thing to recognise patterns in natural formations, and another to believe they are religious symbols there to miraculously heal you. *rolls eyes* Unfortunately, the world is populated by too many stupid people who do actually believe in those "weird things" that they think they see.
