  3. @DarkNemesis618 Yahtzee sums it up nicely: play the earlier games first, then check out MGS4. I've played almost all the MGS games (even the crappy "non-canon" ones) starting with the NES version. The last MGS game I played was MGS3. I played a demo of MGS4 at the store and I was bored the first 3 minutes in. Not planning on getting a PS3 just to play MGS4 as I'm holding on for the God of War release.

    Since this is your first time playing an MGS game, let me say one thing: if you're looking for a good plot, forget about it! *All* of the MGS story lines make as much sense as an underwater bonfire. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell does a better job at the "Tactical Espionage Action" thing.
